TW: domestic violence and sexual assault
I’m so excited to bring a special ~holiday good vibes~ project to you.
Chel from Holy Snails skincare, Jude from Fifty Shades of Snail, Cat from Snow White and the Asian Pear, and I are teaming up to scoot around and let you know about a chance to donate and destash your unwanted-but-new beauty products in a beautiful way.
We’ve coordinated with Women’s Aid Service, serving Clare, Gratiot, and Isabella Counties of Michigan, an organization that provides safety and empowerment to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. (I’ve known their Executive Director since college!) They work directly with survivors, including some who stay at their shelter.
That’s where we come in. I don’t know about you, but I uhh…have a lot of stuff. I’ve gotten better about managing my shopping over time, but there’s still a whole lot of stuff and only one face and, wow, it would be great to find a home for all these nice products that I can never use. I’m also constantly spotting wild beauty deals I wish I could grab just because they’re so amazing. We’ve solved this problem: you can ship new beauty products to Women’s Aid Service and they’ll get them to survivors. I like the idea of shipping a box right off to the organization so the products can reach women who need them ASAP. (You can also give to your local shelter, of course!)
We know how important beauty products can be to both mental health and professional advancement. Many people view the beauty industry as just skin deep, but I think that we fans know that it can have transformative power, especially at turning points in one’s life. We’re excited to have the chance to send products, money, and a message of solidarity to women who deserve some tools for self-care this year.

Shop at Holy Snails, donating a portion of sales to Women’s Aid Service from November 27 to December 27
This is just the latest philanthropic project for Holy Snails, which has donated to support everything from Lupus research to a South Korean LGBTQ Youth Crisis Support Center in memory of SHINee’s Jonghyun (a longtime patron). Holy Snails will donate 10% of all sales from November 27, 2018 to December 27, 2018 to Women’s Aid Service.
If you’ve never tried Holy Snails and want to dive in, I have some suggestions! My current all-in-one favorite product is Great White Shark Sauce, a brightening and glow-giving serum that contains zero sharks. I’ve never had a heavy hitter quite make my skin look that good and glowy now while delivering such big hyperpigmentation-lifting results down the line. Perfect for winter is Honey Shark Sauce (again, no sharks lol), which contains Manuka Honey, Propolis, and Royal Jelly Extracts. Maybe you want to try the original that launched the brand? Hello original Shark Sauce, 100% shark-free from day 1.
