EEE!!! I’m here to share some shop and haul photos from my journey around Flushing yesterday. I had an amazing time and bought some phenomenal stuff!! Stay tuned because at the end of the post there’s a giveaway; I hauled some things for you, too!
Some new stores have popped up in Flushing, now NYC’s undisputed kbeauty shopping spot, and I’ve added them to the Korean beauty in NYC map. If you happen to be in New York at some point or live here, Flushing is TOTALLY worth a trip to the end of the 7 line.
TonyMoly in New World Shopping Center
40-21 Main St.
Flushing, NY 11354
There’s a brand new TonyMoly in the main Flushing mall right on the first floor (it wasn’t there the last time I visited!) and the shop looks amazing. Here are my photos of all the trademark cuteness.
Here’s my lil haul:
The TonyMoly Banana Sleeping Pack smells like banana custard + lotion OMG! So delish. I’ll try this and report back on the fanstagram.
156-44 Northern Blvd
Flushing, NY 11354
This shop is in a strip mall near an H-Mart. I think I shocked the employees because this shop is far from the subway and the neighborhood is pretty much 100% Korean/Korean-American (most of the business signs are in Hangul, for example, and I just didn’t really see any non-Koreans at that end of Flushing/Auburndale). They weren’t into the idea of me taking shop photos, but I did buy the much vaunted Magic Pole mascara and a fun mask. Mainly because the mascara is called magic pole. LOL
136-89 Roosevelt Ave
Flushing, NY 11354
I’ve visited this shop before and I couldn’t resist stopping in again to check out the latest stuff.
Here’s my lil’ Skinfood haul: The Steam Milk Bubble Mask sounds so luxurious! My husband was interested in what nail masks even are, so I bought that for him–ahahaah! They gave me some nice samples, too!^^
13662 39th Avenue
Flushing, NY 11354
This shop is located where The Face Shop used to be. It’s a nice, big store and the employees were super friendly and let me take lots of photos of the products. I know that lots of people fell in love with The YEON’s hallabong serum that was in the *whisper* CutiePieMarzia 2 box, and there’s more citrus-y goodness from the brand. YUMMM.
Here’s my haul:
That’s Gel Oil Perfect Cleanser, a four-capsule sampler of the products that come in the plastic hallabongs (peeling gel, 2 live packs, and a pore ghassoul pack), and hallabong hand cream. YUM.
Bad Pig collagen mask and eye patch. I died laughing at this–so awesome!
I can’t read Korean sentences well enough to figure this out, but I had to buy this because it’s a whitening mask that says “stop racism” Is this a mask that addresses colorism?!?! Or is it a mask that makes a claim that it will stop racism by helping the wearer become lighter? Anyone able to help with this?
I bought this mask because I’ve used it before and it feels really good on angry skin.
I received some crazy samples and masks, too! Some for me and some for a lucky reader–WOO!

I visited the flagship Club Clio store on Roosevelt a few months ago, but I had yet to visit the Northern Boulevard location, which also serves at the US corporate headquarters. While in the shop I talked to Janice Kang, Director of Marketing & New Business Development, who was nice enough to spend a lot of time giving me the inside scoop on the very best products for troubled skin and on the Clio and Peripera makeup that everyone should try. Club Clio will open a new Union Square shop in Manhattan soon–I’ll let you know the details once everything is finalized–eee!!!
One of the products that blew me away was the Goodal Waterest Lasting Water Oil. I’ve been wanting to incorporate oils into my winter skincare routine, but I’ve been struggling with how to do it given my oily skin. When I add them with a cream at the end of my routine, my oily skin tends to look oilier. This product really seems to get around that problem because the gauze and tone up essence prep the skin for the water oil, and then the water oil comes through and delivers fermented oils that feel like water on one’s skin, but moisturize really deeply like oils. Except…more deeply. This is apparently due to the oils being fermented and changed chemically so they sink more deeply into one’s skin. Rock on. I grabbed this set to test–I’ll let you know how it goes!
Janice recommended this blender for mixing with bb cream or foundation (a 1-1 ratio). I’ve been trying to find the right balance between my actual skintone and the tone I want (a bit more more tan with a healthy glow). This Kill Cover Sheet Blender in 4-ST Sheer Tan gives a microscopic hint of summer sun while providing an almost unnoticeable glow. It’s a recipe for my skin with bb cream, but enhanced. Cool, I’m always up for an upgrade.
Daaamn this set is fabulous! This is the F/W 2014 Be Brown miniliner set. I bought the amazing S/S Clio mini set (it was all glorious purples and orchids) and I love it to pieces. The mini liners really work for me because it takes me about half a million years to work through one whole pencil on account of having so many; the sets give me variety without having to buy individual full-size pencils. Plus, those colors just work really well together. LUST.
This Peripera Lumi Pang (in RD05) is so creamy, smooth, tasty, and tinted–it’s basically dream lipgloss. Hot damn. I think I need all of them, honestly.
This Peripera Butter Pang becomes a really pretty sheer pink color when applied. I dig it. Plus it’s moisturizing. This seems like a good choice just about any day of the week–this is sheer and feels nice, so it won’t look “too young” at the office. Not that I actually care. ahahahaha
Janice recommended the Pro Artist Stick Concealer for peeps like me with blemishes because it’s smooth and creamy, so it won’t reveal any healing or dry skin. Awesome!
I love this Fun Fun Travel Kit; it’s super cute and there’s plenty of product in each capsule for at least two treatments. I just ran out of my first set, so I’m excited to have another!
OMG this Peripera Frozen hand cream cracks me up. That’s what I look like after my morning Diet Coke infusion. I just tested this and it sinks in nicely and smells like hallabong or some other citrus. Nice. This cream is #2 Hug Me, Olaf and it’s supposed to deliver nutrition.
These Soo Ae masks look really scientific and promising–yay!
OHHH SAMPLES! I love samples! These are deluxe samples from the 7-super seed fermented oil line by Goodal. AWESOME. I’m going to test these to see if they work for my skin. The whole Goodal line smells amazing btw–kind of like a more pleasant (to my nose) Aveda.
More sample-y goodness, yessss. Even my husband has samples to try! (the Murumuru Seed set).
Overall it was a great day of shopping–but I realize that not everyone can make it to NYC for a shopping extravaganza, so I’m bringing the fun to one lucky winner, who will receive some things I hauled especially for them! Here’s the winner’s haul:
